Preparing for Your Pet's First Visit to our Duarte, CA Veterinary Hospital

Whether you're thinking about scheduling an appointment for your pet at our Azusa veterinary hospital or have already done so, one of the most common questions we receive is "what can I expect at my pet's first visit?"

Aside from a warm welcome from our office staff and excellent care from our veterinary team, there are a few things you can expect leading up to and on the day of your pet's appointment.

For most of our new patients, the first visit will consist of a comprehensive health and wellness exam; this will allow us to establish a baseline for your pet's overall health and give us an opportunity to get to better know your pet! Prior to this appointment, we encourage you to download, print, and fill out our required new patient paperwork. This can be found on our website, and filling it out before your visit will save you time in the waiting room upon your arrival.

Aside from that, we simply ask that you bring any of your pet's existing veterinary records that you have available. This may include past paperwork from vet visits, such as vaccination documentation and the like. If you don't have access to this information, our veterinary team can still work with what you have.

After your pet sees our vet for his or her exam, we can make recommendations for additional treatment (where applicable) and answer any questions you may have about your pet's health as well!
